When architect Helder Coelho was invited to design the
Renault Lounge at
CASA COR Pará 2015 , at the headquarters in Itajaí, his first question was: what color would the vehicle be? And so, a green Duster arrived in Belém. The reason for choosing the color is simple: “This year's theme is Brazilianness, so it's only fair to have a car that matches Brazil,” explains the professional. Coelho designed the space for a young surfer businessman who, when he parked his car at home, would stay right there in the garage, enjoying the advantages of the space that houses a gourmet kitchen, wine cellar and space for a DJ, because the place is intended to transform into a party place at any time. Not to mention the automation used: the lighting is intense or soft according to the music. Everything is programmed by cell phone or tablet. On the wall, cobogós make reference to Brazilian culture and the roads. Realizing that compact pickup trucks were too cramped to transport people comfortably, and mid-size pickups were too large to drive in the city, Renault decided to launch something in between: the new
Renault Duster Oroch . To give you an idea, the Oroch is 4.7 m long, which makes it only seven centimeters longer than a Fluence. In width, it is 1 cm wider than the mid-size sedan.
