Playing with shapes and textures, Gislane Lopes created the Lounge Room at the Minas Gerais exhibition -- an environment to welcome the family

Professional Gislane Lopes decided to be bold with textures and shapes in the Lounge Room , the setting for CASA COR Minas 2015 . The space has a Sucupira wood ceiling that curves at the corners of the walls -- where people expect a straight line, they find rounded shapes. The smooth fog mirror panel is continuous and has an integrated TV, only seen when turned on.
The mix of shapes continues in the space’s materials and furniture. A geometric lampshade plays with the smooth and straight shape of the black sideboard. Brocade cushions make up the green velvet sofa. Outside, on the balcony, the hanging garden with different species of plants with different textures contrasts with the panel of different shapes.
