CASA COR MG: Renault Garage has a bar, lounge and gourmet space

The CASA COR Minas Gerais Renault Living Garage invites residents and visitors to occupy and remain in the space. The project by Ana Andréa Barra, Angélica Araújo and Chris Coelho adds functions to the room normally used only to store cars.

The trio of architects introduced elements to the space, allowing the owners of the house to receive and socialize with their guests in the garage, which also consists of a living room, bar and gourmet space.

The project was inspired by a family that loves travel, art and gathering friends and family. The entire structure is designed to be easy to disassemble and cost-effectively assemble elsewhere. A countertop in a laminar concrete structure, with a Terra Tile slate top, makes up the Gourmet area. Following the trend of master brewers, the space also houses a space for the production of craft beers.

The Bar, with an illuminated showcase that houses drinks, glasses and objects, and the counter were designed by Oficina de Design with a metal structure and Dekton top. In the Living Room, a projection on the wall takes the place of the TV and the sofa becomes a bed to receive guests. The carved carpet was designed by the architects themselves.

The car is the center of attention, making up the design that enhances the identity of the Renault brand. The space takes on a sophisticated tone by housing pieces such as the Bowl armchair, by Lina Bo Bardi, the Plass pendant, by Venetian designer Foscarini, the Serfa armchair by Zanini de Zanine, the Beam bench and the Gramp lamp by Jader Almeida and the Blooming Flower photography by Guilherme Licurgo.
