The beauties of the backlands inspire an apartment at CASACOR AL 2017
With 128 m², the Vista da Graça Apartment was designed by Rosângela Carvalho to be one of the highlights of CASACOR Alagoas 2017. The beauty of the landscape of the Alagoas hinterland was the inspiration for the professional, as well as a considerable number of artists and artisans whose works portray the region, using its diverse woods, straws and ceramics. Literature was also a reference for the composition of the project. Graciliano Ramos borrows the setting of Vidas Secas to influence the story of the character who inhabits the space, a country man who, even moving to an apartment on the coast of Alagoas, carries with him and for the sea all the references of a hinterland of arid beauty. The apartment has an integrated living room, dining room, gourmet balcony and kitchen, and three suites with a reversible bathroom. Rosângela prioritized comfort and practicality when arranging the spaces, opting for planned kitchens and fluid integration with the house's social areas. The rooms and suites feature materials that create a cozy atmosphere and many handcrafted pieces that evoke the emotional memory of the backlands – solid wood, earthy tones, leather and straw details. The combination does not leave aside environmental issues with the use of LED lighting. low consumption, wood from certified sources with sustainable management origin. Works from Galeria Karandash and Encanto do Tear complete the decoration, highlighting the production of artists and artisans from Alagoas.
