It is impossible to think about Brazilian design without remembering the master Sergio Rodrigues. His pieces translate the Brazilianness of the beach and the sea of Rio into furniture. At the CASACOR 2017 exhibitions, the designer was a favorite among the professionals in the cast. In 2017, however, two armchairs stood out: the Mole and the Chifruda .
Very different, these unique pieces were created for very different purposes. Sergio created Mole with the idea of offering the comfort of a bed translated into a chair; and Chifruda for his store Oca, in the exhibition “Furniture as a Work of Art”, in 1962. Check out how they marked their presence in the exhibition spaces!
