CASA COR Peru chose Bahía del Callao as its headquarters, a region that since colonial times has been home to what is considered the largest seaport in the country. With narrow streets, historic squares, mansions, churches and period buildings, it would be the perfect setting to develop an exhibition that articulates the rich past and its culture with contemporary ideas that circulate in architecture and design.
In total, 91 architects, decorators, designers and landscapers were involved in this edition, which brings interesting convergences between one of the most popular styles of the season, industrial, but with readings inclined towards minimalism and more earthy and natural tones. The local nature, with its deserts, forests and the sea, also inspired the professionals, especially in textures. There is also a great desire to showcase art and furniture, with several galleries and spaces to simply contemplate local and international creations. For Brazilians, it is worth highlighting the Meeting Space, created by Peruvian Ricardo Geldres together with Marcelo Rosenbaum, in a special participation that comes from a project to revalue crafts.
