A true natural paradise can be found in Kitakyushu, Japan: the
Kawachi Fuji Garden , or Kawachi Wisteria Garden, named after the flower that makes up the lilac tunnel so beautiful it takes your breath away.
Architecture and nature appear in perfect harmony in the formation of its arches, in which it is possible to find wisterias hanging along with at least 20 other species of flowers. The multiple flowers range from white to purple and can be found throughout the entire 100-meter stretch of the tunnel.
Visitors can stroll beneath the blanket of wisterias seasonally at the
Wisteria Festival , which usually peaks in late April and early May, during Japan's spring season. The garden also has a selection of wisteria trees just beyond the tunnel, which together form a ceiling of hanging flowers, completing the landscape in a spectacular way.
