Sustainability well employed in 2 environments at CASACOR SC
JJ Design - Casa Cor SC 2016 - 2 “Any space can be built using the concept of bioclimatic architecture and the easy adaptation of different construction systems, such as containers and Monoforte's EPS system”, explains architect Juliana Jagelski Daniel, from the JJ Design office, who in this edition of CASACOR Santa Catarina , designed two spaces, the Ticket Office and the Entrance Lounge . According to professionals, the added value of the moment is not only exquisite design, comfort and living well. Sustainability is a trend and, combined with the needs of the resident, brings mutual benefits, for those who live there and for the world. JJ Design - Casa Cor SC 2016 - 1 Juliana is an expert in sustainable construction and brought a minimalist layout to both areas of the exhibition. “Sustainability was applied in the use of containers, reforested glued laminated wood, the industrialized EPS construction system and the specification of finishing materials,” she explains. JJ Design - Casa Cor SC 2016 - 3 The lounge is made up of EPS (Expanded Polystyrene Panels) walls, eliminating the use of bricks, blocks and other materials, a trend increasingly present in everyday construction. For example, it is possible to see references in the natural elements also present in the garden, which features beach sand. To further strengthen the inspiration of 'living well', the office chose to use a large metal-structured portico that welcomes visitors. "It has a pattern that alludes to the twigs that form a bird's nest", explains the architect.
