9 Facades that invite the public to visit CASACOR

Designed to be the event's cover, the Facades invite visitors to CASACOR 2016 to immerse themselves in decoration, architecture, design, landscaping and art. Check out the first of 9 exhibitions this year.

CASACOR Mato Grosso do Sul 2016. Facade – Jonas Lourenço and Giovanni Lyra. Local craft lace was stylized and recreated in corten steel sheets, which revitalize the original façade.

CASACOR Ceará 2016. Lighting Design of the Facade - Gerardo Fonseca and Walter Façanha. The stage lighting design focuses on the most characteristic features of the building, such as the design of the roofs.

CASACOR Goiás 2016. Facade – Léo Romano. The space has a clean and contemporary architecture, which works with the volumes in an innovative, bold and authorial way.

CASACOR Minas Gerais 2016. Facade and Exit Garden - Paulo Pontes. The corten steel panel, measuring 30m x 3m, was designed by artist Léo Arruda. The delicate intervention does not hide the original facade of the house, from 1969.

CASACOR Ceará 2016. Lighting Design for the Facade - Gerardo Fonseca and Walter Façanha. The duo created a play of light and shadow, which brings a dramatic appeal when the sun goes down. Another focus is on sustainability, present in the chosen equipment and LED lighting.

CASACOR Brasília 2016. Sustainable Facade - Catharina Macedo, Juliana Garrocho, Sheila Beatriz and Roberto Lecomte. The architects highlight the power of the glued laminated timber construction technology, endorsed by WWF-Brazil. The entire structure and shading combine industrial and natural wood with planted pieces from the Amazon and native trees. Shorter timber production waste forms the shutter that protects the façade from sunlight and rain.

CASACOR Paraíba 2016. Facade – Jonas Lourenço and Giovanni Lyra. Vernacular architecture concerns ways of building using materials from the region and, often, using techniques passed down from generation to generation. With this idea in mind, as well as the desire for sustainability, the duo interspersed bricks, vertical gardens and Portuguese tiles on the walls that refer to the colonization past.

08/09 -

CASACOR Paraná 2016. OptPower, by Silvio Todeschi, Ana Bahia and Mariana Hardy. Located inside a container, the space is responsible for all the energy used at CASA COR Minas - generated by capturing solar rays and supplied by the company OptPower. The professionals explored the use of their own photovoltaic energy panels to envelop and cover the entire structure of the environment. Inside, there is the machinery that distributes electricity to the headquarters and the façade received typographic work and a video wall informing about the technology and the product used.

09/09 -

CASACOR Mato Grosso do Sul 2016. Façade – Luciana Teixeira. The architect was tasked with intervening in the façade designed by the iconic architect Rubens Gil de Camillo. It was revitalized and enhanced with the use of the color orange, a frame produced with landscaping and a new lighting project.
