5 inspirations for using glass and mirrors at CASACOR Rio 2016
The use of glass and mirrors in décor is nothing new. The innovations lie in the way they are inserted and their new features, such as sunlight control, space integration and sustainability. At CASACOR Rio de Janeiro 2016, we saw several professionals using these resources for different styles and concepts. Check it out below! 05-GABRIELA-ELOY-E-CAROLINA-FREITAS_H-casa-cor-rio-de-janeiro-ambientes-2016 Gabriela Eloy and Carolina Freitas' Glass House , as its name suggests, is a house entirely covered in transparent material. The shelter in the middle of the garden has modern lines and is fully integrated into the landscaping by Burle Marx, whose aesthetics inspire the design of the granite countertop. 36-DUDA-PORTO_H-casa-cor-rio-de-janeiro-ambientes-2016 At Duda Porto's Cabanas , the concept of simple architecture is developed with innovation and technology. To integrate the outside nature with the interior of the space, glass was used, which also takes advantage of natural daylight, applying sustainability to the project. In the bathroom area, a Guardian mirror was used to bring more amplitude to the space. The mirrors are in the entrance hallway and give a feeling of spaciousness, in addition to multiplying the effect of the colors that brighten up the space. “The mirrors were also strategically placed on the closet doors, so that people can see themselves from different angles,” says Joy. Solar control glass (Light Blue 52, from the Guardian Residence line) was also used on the facade.
Another space that received mirrors and glass that control sunlight was the Renault Garage , by architect Caco Borges. CASACOR RIO 2016 SERVICE WHEN?
