4 flooring ideas from CASA COR Brasília 2015
In addition to being visually appealing, the floor and walls should be made of functional materials that are suited to the needs of the resident. With these conveniences in mind, the professionals at CASA COR Brasília 2015 have brought flooring solutions for different types of spaces to your spaces. Recanto nas Nuvens - Foto Fábio Dias (1) At Recanto das Nuvens , the architect duo Márcio Corrêa and Cecília Werneburg created a multifunctional space — which combines a living room, home theater, dining room and wine cellar — with a large wall covered in a mosaic of reforested wood, similar to Brazilian hydraulic tiles. Each tile that makes up the mosaic is immune to attacks by fungi and termites, in addition to being easy to maintain and clean. The space also has a cement floor. Cubo de Ouro - Ney Lima - Foto Allan Santos The Cubo de Ouro Loft , by architect Ney Lima, features a shiny golden cube covered in gold-plated tiles. It is an innovative and artistic design that reinforces the luxurious and modern atmosphere of the space, inspired by a young, male audience. The architect also invested in an eco-friendly plank floor made of bamboo, which makes the material very resistant. Sob o olhar do outro, André Alf - Revestimento Vallori - foto Jomar Bragança
Lounge BRB, Raul Azevedo e Alvaro França - Revestimento Vallori - foto de Fábio Dias (5) In the BRB - Millenium Capital Lounge , by Raul Azevedo and Alvaro França, a panel was used that resembles wood, but is made of MDF covered in PET resin, manufactured with up to 80% recycled raw material. Raul considers this type of coating to be timeless and noble, with a role similar to that of marble. The architect adds that the panel fulfills the function of a work of art and provides a rustic texture, and also acts as a barrier against mold, termites, humidity and grease.
