18 stunning luminaires from CASACOR 2016

They illuminate, decorate, enliven and, sometimes, even take center stage in the décor. Make way for the lamps that looked great last year.

Designed by Frenchman Jean Prouvé (1901-1984), the Potence wall light (on the left) adds softness to this environment embraced by concrete. The Space of Interlocutions was created by Pedro Lázaro for CASACOR São Paulo 2016.

Inspired by the typical trees of the forests of Paraná, the Araucária lamp, by Mauricio Arruda for Bertolucci, adds grace to the Refúgio da Mulher, a space created by interior designer Selena Pelegrini for CASA COR Campinas 2016. With a curved structure, this item is made of aluminum with a wooden sheet at the base and a glass globe as a reflector.

Moacir and Salvio

Designed by Bertjan Pot for Moooi, the Prop Light Round is one of the highlights of the Hot Spot! space, designed by Moacir Schmitt and Salvio Junior, in the latest edition of the show in São Paulo.

Designed by Santa Catarina designer Jader Almeida, the Mush pendants look like drops of water floating in the room of architect Denise Barretto, at the São Paulo edition of the show, in 2016. The pieces were made with brass for the structure and blown glass for the dome.

At CASACOR Minas Gerais 2016, the exhibition “Ser” Moderno, by architect Pedro Lázaro, celebrates the Brazilian elements of the Minas Gerais Baroque and Modernism. Installed at the Pampulha Art Museum, the space housed important pieces, signed by star designers. Among them, the singing lamps (ETEL), by Claudia Moreira Salles.

Migotto

With a zigzag pedestal, the Escultura Bracelli lamp is designed by surrealist master Salvador Dali (1904-1989) and adorns the Tributo aos 30 space, by architect Roberto Migotto, at CASACOR São Paulo 2016.

Bruno Gap

The Cinema em Casa space, presented at CASACOR São Paulo 2016, was designed by architect Bruno Gap, who also designed the pendants that appear above the table. The pieces are made of aluminum and have a lead gray texture on the outside.

The grandeur of the Sky Garden lamp (Flos), in the center of this living room, immediately gives a clue to the name of its creator, the famous Marcel Wanders, founder of the Dutch brand Moooi. Made of aluminum with sculpted plaster inside, the piece is one of the highlights of the environment created by Christina Lago and Gabriel Hering, at CASA COR Santa Catarina 2016.

Nildo Jose

In Nildo José's space, at the latest edition of CASACOR São Paulo, in addition to the suspended jabuticaba tree, another idea draws attention. It is the Lampe de Marseille (Cassina) lamp, created by Le Corbusier (1887-1965), positioned to illustrate the sun nourishing the small tree.

In the background, the Yumi lamp, by Pritzker Prize winner Shigeru Ban for Fontana Arte, stands out with its imposing red and curved structure, in a space where green reigns, tempered by items in sober and raw tones. The Terrace Bar was designed by Gustavo Jansen, at CASACOR São Paulo 2016.

Made of concrete, the Block pendants in this entrance hall are designed by Stella Design and provide a contrasting color in a space full of sober tones. The gold dye, which was later applied to the pieces, also added elegance to the space created by architect Josy Brandstetter and interior designer Denis Rezende, at the latest edition of CASACOR Goiás.

Made of aluminum with LED lighting, the Paflon Costela de Adão models make up the library designed by Roberto Cimino and Nelson Amorim, at CASA COR São Paulo 2016.

Created by Michael Anastassiades for Flos, the IC light S resembles a bird's nest. Maybe, it is positioned right next to a green corner in the Family Room, designed by Thiago Manarelli and Ana Paula Guimarães, at CASACOR São Paulo 2016. Pure poetry!

Made of iron, fabric and kozo fiber paper (the oldest Japanese paper in the world), the Li lamps (Adriana Yazbek, on sale at DPOT) at the CASACOR São Paulo 2016 store draw attention for the lightness they exude. The space was designed by architect Gustavo Calazans.

Designed by architect and decorator Jóia Bergamo, Casa Conceito, exhibited at CASACOR São Paulo 2016, featured the striking yellow presence of the Twiggy Lamp, designed by Marc Sadler for Foscarini.

With a design reminiscent of chemistry labs and experiments, the Flask pendants (Tom Dixon) form a set of spherical pieces with blown glass and a wavy base. They looked great at Espaço Deca (CASACOR São Paulo 2016), by Marina Linhares.
