CASACOR São Paulo 2016. Deca Space - Marina Linhares. The straight lines and large spans are inspired by Bauhaus, in this project that also pays homage to the school in the use of steel, wood and glass that allows for abundant natural lighting. The contemporary furniture by Claudia Moreira Salles - which includes the Deslize coffee table - meets the modernist pieces by Flávio de Carvalho in the ambiance. Another highlight is the launch of the mixer designed by Jader Almeida for Deca.

CASACOR Brasília 2016. Baby's Room - Laiana de Melo Sobral. Basic colors and simple shapes encourage playfulness, without worrying about defining the baby's sex. The crib occupies the center of the 32m² space, in the area demarcated by the wallpaper-covered moldings, which resemble wooden slats on the ceiling. The rest of the room is neutral, including the cobogó wall that separates the bath area with changing table.

CASACOR Brasília 2016. Meeting Lounge – Hélio Albuquerque and Sonia Peres. Personal relationships, physical presence, and conversations between friends and family are revived in this space. Some elements reinforce this feeling, such as the reclaimed wood floor and even the art collection, with works by Hilal Sami Hilau, Amilcar de Castro, and Farnese de Andrade, among others.

CASACOR São Paulo 2016. Home Cinema - Bruno Gap. In addition to watching movies, you can gather friends to play games at the dinner table, prepare a meal in the kitchenette or simply chat, since the theme of CASA COR this year is celebration. The style has a Scandinavian influence, present in the bright colors and the sofa designed by the architect.

CASACOR São Paulo 2016. Living da Praia - David Bastos. The predominant white only gives license to other soft tones, such as pink and the blue serenity of the kitchen cabinet, which houses the ceramics from Studio Heloísa Galvão. In the center, the brushed steel table evokes the industrial style, designed by the architect for Mekal. The seating reinforces the proximity of natural elements in the curtain's palm straw, cotton rug and linen sofas.

CASACOR São Paulo 2016. Friends' Room - Denise Barretto. Blue and gray define a masculine and intimate atmosphere, which also highlights creations by great Brazilian designers such as Sergio Rodrigues, Jader Almeida and Jorge Zalszupin. The walls were finished with boiseries and display works of art such as that by American Zoe Zapot. Also note the ceiling, with the fun cloud-print wallpaper by Fornasetti.

CASACOR São Paulo 2016. Hanging Garden - Andrea Teixeira and Fernanda Negrelli. The space brings the comfort suggested by the American oak joinery and the fireplace centered in the space. Matte gold and neutral tones, such as the crema marfil marble floor with an opaque finish, form the basis of the color palette. The only (and welcome) interference are the native plants and orchids in Leda Jafet's landscaping.

CASACOR São Paulo 2016. Living Room and Winter Garden - Dado Castello Branco. The living room has the feel of a library, with a herringbone patterned floor made of reclaimed wood. Above it, there are pieces by great names such as Oscar Niemeyer and Claudia Moreira Salles. The winter garden is a natural extension of the space, which transforms into a glass box that advances into the landscape.

CASACOR Rio Grande do Sul 2016. Architect's Refuge - Andréa Magalhães. The large panel in champagne metallic glass frames the LED TV and controls the color palette of the space, which incorporates the warmth of the natural wood floor and the freshness of white in the matte lacquer used in the furniture. Steel and aluminum punctuate the details and incorporate the metallic trend. The linear modular sofa and the loose pieces allow for flexible layout whenever desired.

CASACOR Goiás 2016. Studio 03 – Pedro Ernesto Gualberto and Leandra Castro. The touch of sophistication comes from the furniture designed by renowned designers, such as the Grand Repos armchair, designed by the Italian Antônio Citterio, and the Duas Voltas armchair by Ruy Ohtake, in carbon steel with stonewashed leather.

CASACOR Brasília 2016. Living for a Gourmet - Yeda Garcia. The Art Deco style was on the architect's mind, and she designed a sophisticated living room integrated with the kitchen. Pure shapes and wine-colored influences set the tone for the project, whose furniture was curated by architect Patricia Anastassiadis.

CASACOR Brasília 2016. Tea Room - Caroline Napoleão and Fernando Rodrigues. The tradition of five o'clock tea and the color of the year, pink, were some of the inspirations. Measuring just 17m², the room revives the history of tea using original English pieces, whose delicacy is referenced in the floral wallpaper applied to the ceiling. Another welcome dialogue occurs between the Painho armchair, by Marcelo Rosenbaum, and the Ondas sideboard, by Arthur Casas.

CASACOR Espírito Santo 2016. Apartment Living Room - Junior Torezani and Victor Sarcinelli. The space includes TV, living and dining rooms, as well as a guest bathroom. The highlights are the shades of gray, which wash even the fabrics of the furniture, and the play with textures such as quartzite, wood and wallpaper that surround the space. Here, colors are added in a specific way, as in the Vermelha armchair by the Campana Brothers. In the dining room, separated by a metallic screen, the Bailarina table is designed by Leo Romano.

CASACOR Rio Grande do Sul 2016. For reading and drinking - Luiz Sentinger. The custom-made deck is made of garapeira and finished with black enamel. It centralizes all the functions of the SPA, including a 50-jet hydromassage, waterfall and chromotherapy, by Axell.

Curtains and blinds play an essential role in the décor of a room. In addition to being decorative, they are functional and can hide inactive windows and walls, and also separate spaces and areas. Looking at all the CASACOR events that took place in 2016, we can highlight several rooms that benefited from this item with good practices and solutions, such as in Living Gourmet , by Yeda Garcia, at CASACOR Brasília 2016 .

The professional designed a multifunctional and harmonious space for the exhibition, which integrates a large living room with the kitchen. In this second location, all designed in sober and elegant tones, Yeda chose a model of blind to fill the large windows (Metais Preciosos blind, by Artline). “This is an element that must follow the concept of the space so that it does not become a stranger to the proposal. It is like when we get ready and put on an earring, it fits in with the other choices”, explains the professional.

Explaining a little about the item, Yeda emphasizes that the characteristics of the space must be observed, as in the exhibition, which was an area dedicated to food production and also to the reception of people, where the ideal was to choose a functional, washable, resistant piece with a high capacity for lighting control. “The blind I chose was in a matte tone, in keeping with the color palette and also easy to maintain, very practical. The mobility of the slat was fundamental for my choice, since it allows for different types of lighting and the creation of scenes”.
