Designing a bar is an even more difficult challenge than designing a room in a home. In addition to pleasing the owner, professionals need to think about functional architecture and décor that welcomes customers. At
CASACOR 2016 , bars were not only part of the exhibition, but also meeting points for visitors who gathered to have drinks and a quick snack during their visit.
The space needed to be suitable for an outdoor bar with a pre-defined location that would cater to the Italian beverage brand Malfy Gin. Fernanda Sampaio (product designer), Raisa Rodrigues (interior designer) and Julia Sampaio (architect) combined their knowledge to create a unique proposal. The point that made the
Gin Bar stand out from the other projects was the counter that is shaped around the central tree in the space. The trio's goal was to integrate nature into the environment and force visitors to move around the place. Combining Italian sophistication with the casualness of Rio, the professionals used the brand's yellow and blue colors in contrast with neutral tones, creating a cozy atmosphere. "Winning the competition and being at
CASACOR Rio was very important for our career. It was our first project in exhibitions, which introduced us to the market and put us in contact with renowned suppliers and professionals," explains Raisa. Check out this and 13 other bars from
