Pink October was a movement that emerged in the United States, in isolated actions in regions of the country that offered mammograms during the month of October, and had a pink ribbon as their trademark, which is why it received this name. Then, from 1997 onwards , the date has become worldwide and aims to raise awareness in society about the importance of early diagnosis of the disease. Several entities show their support for the cause, such as lighting up monuments, public buildings, bridges, theaters in pink, as has already happened here in Brazil, as at the Mausoleum of the Constitutionalist Soldier (better known as the Ibirapuera Obelisk), at Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro, at the Barra Fortress, among others. And CASA COR could not be left out in this awareness and support for the fight against the disease that kills , approximately 10 thousand women per year, in the country alone. So, we selected 13 environments from all the exhibitions this year that have the pink hue -- the movement's trademark. Check out the image gallery above.
