Designed from the ground up by the office Deborah Roig Arquitetos Associados (from the CASACOR São Paulo lineup), Casa Jasmim was born as a weekend retreat in Itu, in the countryside of São Paulo. Set on a 5,200 m² plot, the residence, with 1,574 m² of built area, materializes a holistic approach to contemporary architecture, covering everything from the initial topographic analysis to the final curation of the interior design.

The project was named in honor of the jasmine-mango tree, a species of strong sentimental value to the owner and one that became one of the central elements of the architectural proposal. “This house represents a work carried out in a comprehensive way, from the selection of the land to the last details of the decor,” Deborah reveals.

The pursuit of well-being guided every decision of the project. With contemporary architecture, marked by clean lines, wide spans, generous ceiling heights, and large glazed surfaces, the residence favors the entry of natural light and a permanent relationship with the landscape. The volumetry was carefully crafted to give lightness to the construction, while natural materials, such as stone and wood, help create welcoming and timeless projects.

In the living room, fully open and integrated with the landscaping designed by Gilberto Elkis, a large reflecting pool hosts an imposing jasmine-mango tree and takes on a starring role in the composition. In addition to providing visual comfort and helping to ease the thermal sensation, the element functions as a true living sculpture, enriching the experience of the projects. “More than a landscape element, the tree acts as the focal point of the composition and reinforces the dialogue between interior and exterior,” explains the designer.

The heart of the house brings together the infinity-edge pool and a spacious gourmet area, fully equipped and designed to comfortably host family and friends. The living room connects fluidly to both the outdoor gourmet area and the dining room, creating an ideal setting for gatherings and celebrations. Reinforcing this vocation for socializing, the residence also features a generous wine cellar, conceived to house a wide collection of labels.

As the highlight of the proposal and the ultimate expression of the wellness concept that guides the office's work, Casa Jasmim houses a sophisticated spa area equipped with two saunas — dry and wet — and a heated pool. Integrated into the architectural design and in direct dialogue with the infinity pool and the lush surrounding landscape, the space was conceived as a true refuge for relaxation and self-care, allowing residents to enjoy experiences typical of hotels and resorts without leaving home.

More than a leisure projects, the spa embodies one of the main premises of the architecture developed by Deborah Roig: to create spaces capable of promoting health, balance, and quality of life through the integration of architecture, nature, and well-being.
