With 280 m² and a privileged view of the greenery, the Apê da Praça, located in the interior of São Paulo, was designed to be a true urban retreat. Signed by interior designer Fabricio Frezza and architect Gabriel Figueiredo, from the office Frezza & Figueiredo Arquitetura e Interiores (and cast of CASACOR Ribeirão Preto and CASACOR São Paulo), the property translates the essence of a couple with a pet who love to cook, collect art, and live their home to the fullest.

“With a privileged view of the trees, the Apê da Praça was conceived to be a true urban retreat. The facade facing the treetops ensures a constant green landscape, like a living painting that frames the living and gourmet areas, and was fundamental in the project's decisions,” the professionals share.

The starting point of the layout was fluid and relaxed interaction. The open balcony fully integrates with the living room with TV and the chef's kitchen, transforming the landscape of the trees into a living painting that frames the entire social area. Three sofas surround the living room to bring guests closer, while the extensive sucupira veneer shelving takes the spotlight of the space, bringing coziness and sobriety through the dark-toned joinery.

The furniture curation moves between icons of Brazilian and international design — with pieces by John Graz, Baba Vacaro, Sergio Rodrigues, Aristeu Pires, Jorge Zalszupin and Pedro Useche — and a personal collection full of memories.

Pieces sourced at auctions, antique fairs, and travels around the world coexist in harmony with an expressive art collection, which includes photographs and works by Nair Benedicto, Claudia Andujar, Caio Reisewitz, Lasar Segall, Mário Gruber, Araquém Alcântara, Eliseu Visconti and Ely Bueno.

The kitchencombines functionality and nostalgia through a mix of dark cabinetry, Dolomita Gold quartzite countertop, nocciola lacquer and retro tiles, connecting directly to the dining room via a continuous countertop.

In the powder room, the more neutral wallpaper with fabric texture and the countertop with a sculpted basin come together with treasure-hunted objects, such as the vintage glass sconce.

In the finishes, contrast ensures lightness: refined fabrics such as linen and prince of wales check share space with cocoa canvas, natural fibers, bamboo details and the warm gray-toned floor.
