Hosting family and friends is part of the daily routine for the residents of this house at Fazenda da Grama, in the countryside of São Paulo. The project by Romário Rodrigues Arquitetos (part of the CASACOR São Paulo lineup) involved the decoration of the interior spaces and the design of the entire outdoor area, including the expansion of the deck and the renovation of the pool.

The art collection — with large-format paintings on the walls and a marble sculpture in the gallery — was the starting point for composing the spaces. Although they appreciate good design, the couple had a small personal collection of furniture. "The interior intervention was focused on ambiance, without major structural changes, but with the attentive eye of someone who knows that furniture, curation, and the composition of textures can completely transform the experience of a space," explains Romário.

Iconic pieces of Brazilian design, texture compositions that balance sophistication and warmth, large-format works of art, and a carefully curated selection of objects brought life and history to every corner.

"The residents brought objects from their travels and personal pieces with sentimental value, especially in the more intimate projects. These elements were carefully integrated into the curation, ensuring that each space reflects the family's story without compromising the aesthetic unity of the project," adds the architect.

In the outdoor area, the challenge was to create an extension of the house that was both functional and beautiful. The solution was the new slatted wood roof, with double-height ceiling, which dialogues with the interior ceiling, ensuring visual continuity between the deck and the living room. "The result is a leisure area that seems to have always been part of the house," Romário highlights.

In the furniture, the Mole Armchair, in aged leather — a classic by Sergio Rodrigues —, finds its natural habitat in the leisure area, alongside the Jangada Armchair, by Jean Gillon. The solid wood dining table, which seats up to 12 people, can be integrated with the garden and the pool thanks to the large glass panels.
