With the purpose of integrating the architecture into the landscape and the residents' routine, this house, located in Belo Horizonte (MG), emerges as a contemporary 400 sqm retreat that balances the dynamism of the social areas with the privacy of the intimate sector. Designed from scratch for a young couple with a child by the Lucas Lage Arquitetura firm (from the CASACOR Minas Gerais cast), the residence takes advantage of a challenging plot to organize an extensive program across two floors, maintaining clean flows and spatial fluidity.

On the ground floor, the home reveals itself through a continuous axis of togetherness: entrance hall, living room, TV room, dining room and kitchen connect without rigid visual barriers, delimited by generous glass panels that dissolve the boundary between interior and exterior. This transparency invites natural light and cross ventilation to take the stage, while extending the living space to the covered veranda, the gourmet area, the deck and the pool clad in natural stone.

The integrated gourmet area, in fact, stands out as the true heart of the house, concentrating living, dining and cooking in a single scenic ambiance opened to the vegetation designed by landscaper Nagela Aud. The service areas and the guest suite were strategically positioned on the sides of the plot, ensuring functionality and discretion.

The upper floor preserves the family's tranquility, accommodating a master suite facing the front facade, with a covered balcony and a perennial view of a permanent environmental preservation area, and two semi-suites directed to the back of the lot, designed to accompany the child's growth.

The palette of materials reinforces the timelessness of the modern-contemporary style: gray tones on the floors and walls bring sobriety, while the wood that lines the interior staircase, the custom-designed furniture and the natural stones — such as quartzite on the countertops and the kitchen island — warm the eye and add texture.

The custom-made joinery plays a fundamental role in guiding the transitions between rooms in a fluid manner, combining panels, glass doors and lacquered finishes with recessed lighting.

To complete the sensory experience, the lighting design organizes the artificial light in layers of recessed spots, LED profiles, and table lamps that highlight the architectural volumes and create cozy atmospheres at dusk.
