The Socioenvironmental Institute (ISA) – which has been advising quilombola communities with craft projects, repopulation and production of agronomic products, in addition to creating sustainable development programs for quilombola youth – launched today (02/03) a web series, “ Essential Ribeira ” which features Marcelo Rosenbaum and is part of the O Ribeira Vale ” project.
“The crafts tell the story of the struggle and resistance of what it means to be a quilombola,” declares Rosenbaum in the episode that shows the desire of the quilombo residents to rescue their art and the interest of the students in learning more about the local people. The web series aims to promote the struggle of quilombolas for the title of their lands, in addition to extolling the culture of the region and its wealth.
