Refúgio do Enófilo, by Casa Cor Paraná 2015 , designed by Janaina Macedo, is a wine cellar designed for country or mountain houses, with a comfortable living room to enjoy good wine.

The professional took advantage of the original wood from the A Fábrika headquarters, restored it and used it as a lining, maintaining the rustic and sophisticated look of the environment. The fabrics in sober tones and the black velvet of the curtains aim to preserve the wines from natural light. The winery's joinery features Corten steel MDF and the flooring is from the Marcas do Tempo line by Durafloor by Casa Claudia.

In the large cellar the wines are stored in beehives. It is not air-conditioned, as the space was designed for cold regions. However, it would be easily adapted to warmer climates.

“The environment for that edition was created with the same refinement as last year, but for more classic tastes, bringing the tradition of wine and time into the furniture and coverings used. The classic style is predominant and dark colors were chosen to maintain the warmth of this proposal, which is for cold regions”, explains Janaina.

The highlight of the environment is the 1.80 by 2.00 meter screen, in the center of the room, created especially for the exhibition, by the artist from Paraná, Eleutherio Netto. The work draws attention to the different nuances of the wine and textures of the grape it presents. The artist says that he used not only grape pigment in his creation, but also the wine itself and that it was a great novelty to work with these elements.

“I was very happy that our partnership worked out. When Janaina made the invitation and explained that this year the theme would be wine, the idea of working with grape pigment soon came. Even though my work is painting with natural color pigments, using teas, hibiscus, annatto, for example, it was a challenge, a discovery to work with grapes for the first time”, says Netto.
