SUPERSTUDIO is approaching its 20th anniversary and plans to celebrate with a complete renovation of the event
SuperDesign Show at
Milan Design Week 2019 . Gisella Borioli's project
with art director Giulio Cappellini
follows the theme Innovation & Tradition . Despite appearing to be antagonistic, nature and technology, tradition and innovation are brought together with a single goal: to make homes and cities more beautiful and sustainable. Everywhere, buildings and installations are filled with themed displays and emotional lighting, in a mix of art and fashion. Using 3D technology, billboards and textures, the design is forward-thinking.
Giulio Cappellini launches the project of an international and deeply Italian hotel, which combines craftsmanship and industrial products. A restaurant with different areas describes international cuisine. The different types of suites, a large lounge and a gym complete the project.
Material ConneXion Italia , a network dedicated to materials, technologies, design and sustainability, confirms its presence at the SuperDesign Show, and presents three different projects: the exhibition “Smart City: People, Technology and Materials”, curated by architect Giulio Ceppi; the “Materials Village”, where visitors will be invited to a kaleidoscopic and colorful experience; and the project “The Beautiful Side of Design”, originating from the collaboration with Marie Claire Maison.
