Pieces from Tiradentes Creative Week are exhibited at Paralela

Tiradentes Creative Week is an annual event that brings together professionals and thinkers from the fields of design and architecture to share experiences, discuss trends and share knowledge. The 2017 edition was attended by: Expedito Jonas de Jesus, Lilia Fonseca, Maria Conceição de Paula, Rondinelly Santos and Wagner Trindade and by the designers André Bastos (Nothing is taken), Daniela Karam, Guilherme Leite Ribeiro (Nothing is taken), Maria Fernanda Paes de Barros (Yankatu) and Paulo Alves. During the Week, the group participated in lectures, chats and workshops . Together, they created pieces that carried all the tradition of craftsmanship, but reconciled it with contemporary styles. The pieces are very much inspired by Brazilianness, since the objective of Creative Week is to encourage the preservation of production techniques rooted in popular culture.

The quality of the work produced was recognized by the 33rd edition of Paralela , which brought the pieces to be exhibited in São Paulo. In addition, the creator of the Week, Simone Quintas, was invited to join designer Paulo Alves for a chat about Brazilian crafts with mediation by architect Ricardo Caminada, on February 20th.
