Masters Embroiderers bring together the best of their work in an exhibition

For those who enter the A Casa museum in the capital of São Paulo, a surprise awaits: a simple little house occupies the center of the exhibition space of contemporary lines. This is the Casa Bordada exhibition, conceived by Renata Melão, curated by Renato Imbroisi and designed by Tina and Lu. The team of professionals not only brought together the best of the work of groups, cooperatives, associations and individual artisans from 27 Brazilian states over the course of two years, but also innovated in the way they present them to the public. The little house, installed in the museum, was entirely covered with embroidered fabrics. There, the public is invited to stroll through the spaces and appreciate the quality and diversity of the most diverse embroidery proposals and techniques that the rich Brazilian tradition has. In addition to being moving due to the lightness and humor of the narratives, the exhibition presents an unprecedented survey of Brazilian embroidery.
