MAM takes works from its collection to the streets of São Paulo in panels and projections

Starting August 18, the streets of São Paulo will be filled with works of art in a new initiative by the São Paulo Museum of Modern Art , MAM . The initiative will place panels at bus stops in the city, in addition to projecting works of art from the museum's collection in buildings in the central region.

Over the course of two weeks, MAM in the City will present works by 16 Brazilian artists on 140 panels at bus stops. Iconic names such as Tarsila do Amaral , Regina Silveira and Bárbara Wagner will be visible to passers-by. The works will be accompanied by QR Codes. of an exclusive podcast of the action, which will elucidate the history of each of the works. The brief reports were made in collaboration with personalities such as Gilberto Gil, Laerte Coutinho, Lázaro Ramos, among others. In the city center, works by Cildo Meireles , Maureen Bisilliat and Tomie Ohtake will be displayed in monumental-scale projections on three blind gables of buildings. The open-air exhibition will take place on August 22, 23 and 29, from 7 pm to 12 pm. 8:00 p.m. The premiere will be on the façade at Rua da Consolação, 753, on the corner of Rua Caio Prado.
