More than an environment, José Luiz Favaro presents a visual and immersive experience at
CASACOR São Paulo 2018 , which became the most photographed point of the exhibition. This is the
Anamorphic Gallery , a space marked by strong colors and geometrics. In 55
m², the professional has two distinct areas, the aim of which is to play this optical "game" with visitors, based on the concept of anamorphosis. "Anamorphosis is a perspective effect used in the visual arts to force the observer to place themselves under a certain point of view, the only one from which the element regains a proportionate and clear shape", he explains. This geographical representation emerged in mural painting in the 16th and 17th centuries, to create optical illusions in painting on curved surfaces, such as church vaults, where the deformation of perspective allows the correct view of the view: if the observer stands in any other position, the image becomes deformed and incomprehensible.
The effect is given by the distribution of shapes and colors, which were studied and applied to the Jockey building, which has its original beams and structures. And to get the desired effect, just position yourself at the right point – which is indicated in the environment – and click. All of this results in a visual and fun experience at the exhibition that has been very
successful on Instagram !
