Curated by Ricardo Resende, visual artist Estela Sokol has created one of the first works of kinetic art in a public space in São Paulo. The railing of the Branco Santander branch on Faria Lima Avenue – a revitalized area of the city with a lot of traffic – was chosen as the support for the intervention by the award-winning artist from São Paulo. In addition to deepening her research on the possibilities of using color today, the proposal contributes to making the region, and the branch itself, more pleasant and welcoming. The work creates an illusion of movement by creating a profusion of shapes and colors that can be perceived from the angle of view of the observer. Perceived by those walking along the avenue as well as by those traveling by car, bus or bicycle, the intervention is sponsored by Banco Santander.
