CASACOR Brasília: Room with chaotic language of gestural art

Professionals Flávia Amorim and Renata Melendez, from Studio AZ, could not have chosen a better name for the room they designed at CASACOR Brasília 2017 : From White to Chaos . This name sums up and says for itself what the space is about. The space measuring 63 m², it was inspired by the work of artists such as Jackson Pollock and Yayoi Kusama and also pays homage to the art of Marcio Rapello, responsible for the paint strokes that mark and stand out in the place.

The room From White to Chaos was designed as a large canvas, with furniture, walls and other materials in white, a tone that was used in various textures and applications, which, combined with the blackout with black light, create a dramatic space. The professionals' intuition was to offer the public a sensorial experience, involving automated lighting and sound through the visualization of the artistic work.

The technique used by visual artist Marcio Rapello as an intervention in the environment is called Action Painting , and was done with Sherwin-Williams paints. To complete the deconstruction of the space and industrial atmosphere, brushes and paints were also inserted , attached by hooks to a large metal screen, as well as frames that were used as lamps, complementing the chaotic language of gestural art.
