This Thursday, as part of the Collectors Program , ArtSampa organized a visit to Galpão da Lapa: a space created by one of the biggest collectors of contemporary art in the country, the couple Andrea and José Olympio .

Since 2018, Following the global trend of major art collectors revealing their private collections to the public, the couple Andrea and José Olympio chose to create a suitable place to display the vast collection through temporary exhibitions.

The building, which covers over 1,500 square meters, was chosen by collectors Andrea and José Olympio and dates back to the 19th century. Renovated and adapted by architect Felippe Crescenti, the current Galpão da Lapa coexists with the old warehouses that store fruits, vegetables and the like.
