LZ Arte presents new talents in Rio de Janeiro

A two-story house in Ipanema, normally dedicated to exhibiting furniture and decorative objects, will be transformed into a contemporary art gallery starting tomorrow. The project is by businesswoman Anny Meisler, owner of LZ Studio, who created the LZ Arte exhibition to introduce young talents to the market. The store will now have works by names selected by her, which will inhabit the address for six months. Among those selected are Mana Bernardes, Felipe Morozini from São Paulo, multimedia artist Paula Costa, designer Maurício Arruda, Farm's creative director, Gabriel Oliveira, and photographer Raul Aragão, who will be exhibiting in Brazil for the first time.

Raul will present eight previously unpublished photographs of landscapes of Rio de Janeiro and Fernando de Noronha.

Graffiti artist Bruno BR Bogossian will showcase his latest limited edition prints.

Multimedia artist Paula Costa will exhibit photographs of her embroidered flowers and plants.

Gabriel Oliveira will present a series of paintings on wood.

And there will also be an installation by Mana Bernardes, illustrations by Naia Ceschin and fine art by Henrique Stabile at LZ Arte. There are nine names to keep an eye on.

Each of the invited artists will also create two exclusive decorative plates, the proceeds from the sales of which will go to the Instituto Inca Voluntário's actions to care for cancer patients. The plates will be sold at LZ Studio for R$900 each.

LZ Arte opens with an opening cocktail tomorrow, August 16, from 6pm to 10pm, at Rua Barão de Jaguaripe 141, Ipanema, Rio de Janeiro.
