Art from Alagoas: Rodrigo Ambrósio presents the Rapadura Chair

What feeds us? Where does your energy come from? What do we eat today? Rapadura, a sweet made from sugarcane and very traditional in the northeast, found a new use in the hands of Rodrigo Ambrósio. He transformed the sweet into raw material for the chair that he exhibited at the Arte das Alagoas project, which took place at the Art Design Village , at the Jockey Club in São Paulo, and also at Shopping Lar Center. The eating chair, which weighs 60 kilos, was made with two types of organic sugar cane. On the last day of the exhibition, Rodrigo's idea is to break the chair into pieces and distribute the brown sugar among his friends, but as the days went by, the chair already took a few bites...
