During Miami Art Week, walking through the exhibitions, museums and galleries, it was possible to see that several artists and designers were able to reproduce their desires, frustrations, expressing their truths, seeking and allowing reflections about society and the world in which we live.

This was made abundantly clear in High Anxiety: New Acquisitions from the Rubell Family Collection . Spanning twenty galleries on the second floor, this exhibition highlighted the thread of uncertainty, insecurity, stress, pessimism, and nervousness in recently acquired works across a broad spectrum of practices. contemporary artistic works. Much of the work explores polarizing sociopolitical issues ranging from presidential elections to war.

One of the attractions of the exhibition that really caught the attention of visitors was Juliana, by Frank Benson. The piece is a beautiful sculpture of a woman who, upon closer examination, is discovered to be transgender.
