Located in São José dos Campos, in the interior of the state of São Paulo, the Olivo Gomes Residence is a true architectural classic that, this year, marks 7 decades of its existence. It was designed by Rino Levi and Roberto Cerqueira César , commissioned by the then owner of Tecelagem Parahyba, Olivo Gomes. mural de azulejos feito por Rino Levi e Roberto Burle Marx no projeto de residência de Olivo Gomes The residence was built in the middle of a park, and therefore had a landscaping project by Roberto Burle Marx . There, tiles were incorporated to bring color through the creation of a large mural made by the landscaper and Rino Levi.
With modern structures , every corner of the residence opens up space for an impeccable view amidst nature. The project included eight bedrooms with a bathroom for each pair, an office, a games room, a swimming pool, a covered garage for six cars and a service area with two bedrooms for employees. fachada da residência de Olivo Gomes. Lots of color and planning guided the creation of the Olivo Gomes Residence . Incorporating classic elements into modern architecture that was ahead of its time was the main reason why the project went down in history and is remembered even 70 years later.
