Architect participates in CASACOR Rio with an environment dedicated to studies that shows the delicacy of her work with carpentry

Architect Lia Siqueira has had a long-standing passion for books and libraries . Throughout her career, she has created some memorable projects. The most recent of these was recognized by the Brazilian Institute of Architects at its annual awards ceremony at the end of last year, winning the prize in the “New Buildings” category. 
The project was conceived as an extension of the main building to house a large collection of books , which needed to be kept in one place. The architectural design of the space followed the paths determined by its use. For the construction, Lia Siqueira opted for a metal structure with slender and lightweight pieces, so that the constructed space would be fully integrated with its surroundings and would also allow for cross ventilation and natural lighting. 
Solutions that bear the mark of Lia's fine and precise work with carpentry and furniture design. Present at the next edition of CASACOR Rio , which will take place from March 2 to April 25 , the architect will pay tribute to the 30th anniversary of the Rio edition with her space by naming the space “ Small Study Room ”, the name also given to the space she created at the first CASACOR Rio , in 1991. Of course, we will be able to see her talent with the use of wood and the creation of furniture there. Another novelty is that for the first time – after 15 participations in the Rio show – Lia will design the space with her children, also the architect Felipe Siqueira and the interior designer Betina Siqueira .
