It didn't take much searching until interior designer Melina Romano , from CASACOR São Paulo , stepped into the iconic Edifício Itália and felt: “This is it.” The beams on the walls designed by Franz Heep , the natural lighting and the stunning view of the city of São Paulo conquered Melina, who decided to make that square meter on the 31st floor of the Edifício Itália her new office: Casa MR . “Being in the city center drives us to transcend as a brand: close to our roots and at the center of trends ,” says the professional. The light and harmonious atmosphere achieved arises from the dialogue between the organic lines of the building and Melina's minimalist features . “We wanted to bring features to the project that would reflect the architecture of the building,” says the designer. “ We opted for white finishes, textures, neutral colors and striking furniture pieces. From this base, the designer added subtle doses of colors that are pleasing to the eye. “ We brought colors that spoke to our brand, preferably working with natural tones , but when not, we tried to use non-saturated tones,” says Melina. (Denilson Machado/CASACOR)

The office's biophilic design is signed by landscaper Bia Abreu who designed flower boxes that follow the organic design of the space. Everything was custom-made and with water collection underneath . “It was something designed to work,” reveals Melina. It is interesting to note that more and more corporate buildings, universities and hotels are looking to biophilia to stimulate feelings of tranquility and satisfaction in their employees and customers.
