The MoMA - Museum of Modern Art in New York has made available for download the book that introduced Brazilian architecture to the world. The online version of the publication Brazil builds: architecture new and old, 1652-1942 is available on the institution's website for free. 
The architect is also the author of the catalogue and has had the collaboration of great names of Brazilian modernism such as Lucio Costa, Roberto Burle Marx, Flavio de Carvalho, Oscar Niemeyer and Rino Levi. In the preface, Goodwin highlights his "acute desire to know the Brazilian architecture, especially the solutions given to the problem of combating heat and the effects of light on large glass surfaces on the outside of buildings", from modern to colonial. The publication is one of the first to consider the value of architectural projects of the country and present it to the world. The book can be downloaded here .
