CASACOR São Paulo 2019. Urban Cabin - Marcio Michaluá. The space is an urban refuge. Hybrid, it brings together references from art, design, architecture and photography. The landscaping, by Renata Tilli, blesses the cabin with a sense of well-being, relaxation and connection. Guest artist Antonio Peticov lends his creativity, bringing to life the hydraulic tiles and the neon sculpture that marks the cabin in a spectrum of rainbow colors.

CASACOR São Paulo 2019. Deca Lab - Ricardo Bello Dias. Shaped like a spaceship, Ricardo Bello Dias presents a futuristic laboratory where research is the core of design innovation, a place that allows man to explore the universe without borders. The Deca Lab is 8 meters in diameter and is made of a metal structure in copper and black colors. The spaceship is supported on a reflecting pool, and a walkway crosses the installation, providing access from both sides of the space.

CASACOR São Paulo 2019. Casa Dendê Duratex - Nildo José. The 115m² space offers fluid and minimalist environments, encompassing a living room, kitchen with dining room, patio and master suite, escaping from ready-made formulas and the stereotype of a colorful Bahia. However, it expresses in every detail the architect's special connection with his homeland in a sober way, rich in art, style and poetry. Seeking to convey an elegant and at the same time rustic essence, the professional opted for a clean architecture, abundant in straight lines, with specific curves that make an analogy to the Bahian Recôncavo.

CASACOR São Paulo 2019. Cosentino Container House - Marilia Pellegrini. In her project with sustainable bases and a focus on reusing materials, two containers were coupled together to create a 60m² house, which has an integrated living room, kitchen and laundry room, as well as a suite with an incredibly comfortable bathroom. The rooms were filled with shades of white, a minimalist atmosphere and pieces by great designers, such as Oki Sato, which brings surprising sophistication to the space.

CASACOR São Paulo 2019. Saleta Pausa - Ana Sawaia. In her first participation in the show, architect Ana Sawaia presents a space designed to rescue the pleasure and need to stop and take a deep breath. And it was in her personal experience that the professional sought inspiration to create one of the most interesting points of the space: an illuminated arch covered with hydraulic tiles printed with musical symbols and related to time. Ana, who is the daughter of composer Almeida Prado, also presents a panel of watercolors painted by her father on lined sheet music paper.

CASACOR São Paulo 2019. Aurora Terrace - BC Arquitetura. Inspired by the contemporary and minimalist poetics that guide the new home, the duo Bruno Carvalho and Camila Avelar created the 130m² space that follows a delicate narrative. Defined as a sensorial experience, the project exudes signature design, as well as artistic interventions and an incredible 7m ceiling height. It was designed so that guests can breathe, sigh and reconnect through the elements present there.

CASACOR Rio Grande do Sul 2019. Tri Suave Lavatory - Marilia Zimmermman. The starting point came from the architecture of the historic building, with its sequential arched balconies, mentioned in the mirrors in the room. Another inspiration came from the favorite colors of the year, which star in the space. The lighting plays the role of bringing movement and depth. Note the floor with small porcelain pieces in six shades, from the JoyMz collection, designed by the architect.

CASACOR Minas Gerais 2019. Júnior Piacesi - Refuge. Detached from the ground, six meters above solid ground, the house encourages connections. The metal structure with concrete floor emanates lightness and transparency, minimally interfering with the landscape. The mimetic façade covered in mirrors plays a game of hide and seek in the eucalyptus forest. Inside, the kitchen, table, bed, closet, bathroom and meditation space are integrated. Highlights include the Carlos Motta armchairs, the Lina armchair (in homage to Lina Bo Bardi) and Flos lamps.

CASACOR Minas Gerais 2019. Cuboesia & Jardim de Aço - Bel Diniz and João Diniz. Cuboesia is the name for a hybrid installation that combines architecture, design, sculpture, landscaping and poetry. Interaction with the poetic text is encouraged, through the possibility of entering the verses inscribed on the faces of the metal cube. This is surrounded by the Steel Garden – a sculptural composition that suggests that steel is also part of nature.

CASACOR Bahia 2019. Coffeetown – TRPC Arquitetos. The glass-enclosed space on a light metal structure reflects the desire for full integration of the charming corporate environment with the lush green of the local landscaping. Designed to replicate the original Coffeetown coffee shop design, the space allows you to fully experience the delights of a sophisticated and elegant coffee.

CASACOR Ribeirão Preto 2019. Essential Loft - Cacau Ribeiro. For architect Camila Ribeiro Cury, being with family is essential. That's why she designed this comfortable and meaningful living area. The frames form shelves and bring both natural light and the garden into the interior. The lamp is by Ingo Maurer, the armchair was designed by Sergio Rodrigues and the coffee table is by Rodrigo Ohtake.

CASACOR São Paulo 2019. Loft Refúgio - Consuelo Jorge. A unique project, where comfort and nature meet and well-being aligns with design, providing unique sensations in an elegant and welcoming space. This is Consuelo Jorge's proposal for Loft Refúgio. The 101m² offer a sophisticated and warm atmosphere, within the practicality of its integrated spaces.

CASACOR Ribeirão Preto 2019. Loft Essência Feminina - Simone Pedreschi. Supported by four sturdy pillars, the 60 m² space has an open and integrated floor plan. The furniture is solid and delicate, such as the side tables and the armchair in a dry rose tone. The copper and gold details do not go unnoticed, as does the sensory appeal of the linen and crochet.

CASACOR Ribeirão Preto 2019. Chapel for All Saints - Sergio Coelho. The enchantment comes from the subtle profusion of religious symbols and images of saints – from lost objects to impossible causes, there is no request that cannot be made here. The approach to architecture was contemporary, valuing the opening to the garden and materials such as wood and marble in an ecological version.

CASACOR Ribeirão Preto 2019. Half House - Mariana and Filipi Oliveira. The space alludes to country kitchens and the Brazilian way of living. The light and integration with the outside area are redefined by the openings of the mashrabiyas. The duo from the MF+Arquitetos office represents a style, which is also a desire, to be disconnected at home. Contemplating, experiencing and receiving are verbs conjugated in these spaces, which balance the light and integration with the outside area thanks to the mashrabiyas. The straight and concise lines come to life with the wooden ceiling and stone wall, in the space that alludes to country kitchens and the Brazilian way of living.

CASACOR São Paulo 2019. Casa Conecta - Ticiane Lima. The 125 m² space, divided into a living room, bathroom and terrace, marked the architect's debut at the show. Inspired by clean and modern architecture, it is surrounded by large glass doors and features a palette of light colors and different tones of wood, creating a calm and cozy atmosphere. A niche bookcase, created by the professional, frames a workstation consisting of a desk and the Lucio chair, by Sérgio Rodrigues.

CASACOR São Paulo 2019. Estúdio Trigo - Renato Mendonça. Inspired by the figure of a young and independent chef, the space seeks to bring a feeling of welcome and comfort. Going against the grain of high-tech, the architect debuts by rescuing ancestral processes for the design of the 48m² studio, with natural materials such as charred wood, rough gneiss stone and burnt clay on the floor.

CASACOR São Paulo 2019. Casa das Sibipirunas - Otto Felix. Known for his unique and expressive lines, Otto Felix makes his presence felt with a 250m² space that exudes straight lines and harmoniously blends rustic and contemporary elements. Divided into a living room with a fireplace, a kitchen and a suite with a closet, Casa das Sibipirunas encourages a more reflective and disconnected way of living, where the proposal for a simpler life was established as a reference.

CASACOR São Paulo 2019. Nohara Terrace - Lucas Takaoka. The 20m2 project features an open layout divided into shower cubicles (unisex and disabled), washbasins and a small lounge that move in perfect harmony. The coziness comes into play through the closed pergola, made with a pine wood structure. To contribute to the lighting of the environment, the walls and bathroom doors were given a light tone. For the countertop, the architect worked with a composition that mixes wood with a natural finish and white lacquer.

CASACOR São Paulo 2019. Elementary Garden - Kalil Ferre Landscaping. The Elementary Garden is based on the interaction between man and nature. For this project, which is responsible for the integration of three areas of the exhibition, natural elements are decisive: stone, fire, wood and vegetation are the stars. Organic lines also appear in a playful space, created with three scales designed by renowned Brazilian designer Sérgio Matos.

CASACOR São Paulo 2019. Casa Grão by Starbucks at Home - Très Arquitetura. The partners at Très Arquitetura were guided by the concept of the grain, which is defined not only by the birth of coffee, but by the principle of abundant lives, to develop the 100m² space. Based on the premises of a generation that seeks a more detached, altruistic and humanized life, the architects were also inspired by the lines of Mies Van Der Rohe's pavilion in Barcelona, and created a space in the shape of a glass box, which includes a living room, a dining room with a small kitchen, a terrace and a master suite.

CASACOR São Paulo 2019. Casa do Fauno - Leo Shehtman. A house designed for a childless couple who love to celebrate life and art. Measuring 144m2, it was fully integrated and pays homage to the Barberini Fauno, a figure from Roman mythology (an appropriation of the Greek version of the Satyr). Upon entering the space, visitors are greeted by the exotic Pearlescent Marble that covers one wall and appears to float along the 18m of water mirror. Modernist works, such as the Barcelona Pavilion designed by architect Mies van der Rohe in 1929, also served as inspiration for this project - a way of paying tribute to the centenary of the Bauhaus school.

Every year, the hundreds of projects designed for CASACOR exhibitions in Brazil and the Americas offer different solutions in architecture and interiors. What they all have in common is an appreciation for originality, ideas in sustainable construction and a sense of well-being that is contagious to visitors who pass by. In 2019, it was no different. Under the theme Planet Home , the event starred in 19 squares with great success, bringing different interpretations to the idea of the home as a refuge. The projects from these exhibitions gained space on ArchDaily , a renowned international portal within the world of architecture. The website prepared, for each of the 22 environments gathered in the gallery, a specific page, providing information about the square footage, the design pieces included and the intention of the architects behind the projects.

Not only this, but also Otto Felix's Casa das Sibipirunas was a favorite among the site's readers and was among the finalists for the 2020 Work of the Year award , from ArchDaily Brazil. Its metal beam construction, which permeates the light and draws shapes during the day, creates an incomparable visual game, which stood out among the hundreds of works published by the portal in 2019.
