Architect and urban planner,
Arthur Guimarães has a number of outstanding works on his resume, which have been featured in the national and international press. His work is combined with the research he has been developing at the Istituto Marangoni in digital architecture and parametric projects, which have earned him awards such as the A' Design Award and Hunter Douglas Archiprix Award. Arthur is the bet of
CASACOR São Paulo 2020, which should take place between June 2nd and August 2nd at the Jockey Club.
The
IR Residence was designed as the home of a farming couple; its proposal was to fully integrate indoor and outdoor environments. Located in a conservation area, the project features large openings and references to brutalist materials, such as concrete and corten steel with freijó wood. An important point is the interconnection of all living spaces, making the residence flexible and adaptable.
As a designer, Guimarães works at the intersection of sustainability and technology. To achieve this, he uses exotic sustainable materials combined with digital design and artisanal production. The Float Collection (pictured) was part of the designer's participation in international fairs, such as the Salone del Mobile. and Maison et Objet in 2019 and 2020. The professional was also present at ABUP Home & Gift, Abimad, Ambiente Fair Frankfurt and ICFF New York.[newsletter]
