Casa Arca is an autonomous object in the middle of nature

The Arca House , designed by Marko Brajovic - the translator of nature into architecture -, was given this name by local residents who compared the house to a ship in the middle of the Atlantic Forest. Based on the buildings of the Asurini people, Médio Xingu , the project was installed as an autonomous object in the middle of nature, with minimal impact on the environment . The construction method starts from the top down, with the roof. To achieve this low-impact effect, they used self-supporting structures for the roof, side walls and finishes. The carbon steel, aluminum and zinc modules are lightweight and can be assembled and disassembled in less than one week. The interior was only assembled after the structural part had been completed. This is because, as it is a mobile home, it is necessary to consider the specificities of the location in which it is located.

Sunlight, wind and view determine the position of the furniture. The team of professionals states that the partitions were marked at the time with masking tape. The idea is that the house can be used for leisure by those who want to enjoy a weekend in a very comfortable environment, or for those who want to immerse themselves in creative devices connected to nature. For this second option, the beds can be transformed into sofas and bedrooms in production rooms. Casa Arca is located in Perequê waterfall, on the border with Bocaina National Park and 10 km from the charming colonial city of Paraty , known for its enormous cultural heritage and natural wealth.
