Architects Journal divulga as finalistas do Women in Architecture
Four professionals from around the world had their beautiful projects honored and nominated for the last phase of the awards

The Architects Journal , a century-old British publication on architecture and construction, published the shortlist for its annual Women in Architecture award on January 25. In a traditionally male-dominated field, the award aims to recognize and encourage the work of female architects around the world.

Sandra Barclay is an architect with degrees from the University of Lima in Peru and Paris-Belleville in France. She is the co-founder of the Barclay & Crousse Architecture firm and was the curator of the Peruvian Pavilion at the 15th Venice Biennale. She is nominated for the award with the Paracas Museum project in Peru.

Biba Dow is an architect who graduated from the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom. She founded the Dow Jones Architecture firm in the 2000s. She has extensive experience in restoration and conservation work. She is competing for the award with the project for the Garden Museum in London, United Kingdom.

Ángela García de Paredes Falla is an architect who graduated from the Madrid School of Architecture in Spain. She joined the García de Paredes office in 1990 and currently teaches Architectural Design at the Madrid School of Architecture, as well as collaborating at other universities. The finalist project for the award is the Two House in Oropesa, in Spain.

Stephanie Macdonald studied fine art at Portsmouth College of Art and architecture at the Mackintosh School of Architecture, Royal College of Art and London Metropolitan University. She is the co-founder of 6a Architects and is currently competing for the award for Cowan Court in Cambridge, UK.

The winner will be awarded a prize of £10,000. The award ceremony will take place at Claridge's in London on 2 March. The event will be a luncheon where the candidates will present their projects in person to the jury.
