It's been four years since the brilliant Zaha Hadid left us prematurely, but her impressive works continue to be built around the world. One of the most recent of these is the Capital Hill Residence, her only private residential project, built in Russia. Unlike most of her structures, , Hill Residence is not located in an urban environment, but in a dense forest.
The highest point of the house is the bedroom. Doroni wanted to be able to see above the trees from her bedroom window, so Zaha created an elevated room, balanced on a narrow 35 m high column. Below, there is a 20 m swimming pool. meters long, spa, gym and a Japanese garden.
Following the architect's signature style, Capital Hill Residence is a 360-degree monument, with every angle of the building being utilized. Haddid explored the deconstructivist trend in architecture, studying the asymmetries and decomposition of forms. Thus, her works can be discovered and appreciated in different ways, depending on where you look at it, like a sculpture.
