1. Unparalleled view Admiring the panoramic view of the city center buildings and the huge, colorful sky of Belo Horizonte is just one of the reasons that makes
CASACOR Minas ' address special. Anyone who passes by can't resist stopping to take a photo!
2. Brunch on Sundays A cook who makes art and an artist who cooks. That's how Agnes Farkasvolgyi defines herself. She is the chef and owner of the buffet Bouquet Garnique, who will be occupying the
restaurant at
CASACOR Minas this year. What's new? For the first time, she will occupy a space designed by her brother, architect Bernardo Farkasvolgyi, and on Sundays the place will be open for brunch. We'll be sharing the details soon!
3. Recovering the memory of a building so important to the city The first time the Minas Gerais exhibition entered the former RFFSA headquarters, they found a building that had been closed for 10 years. It was in good condition, with some renovations to the structure and roof. When they returned to the building, they began, together with Iphan, to rescue its history and original features. A lot has already begun to be done, such as replacing the non-original floors in the entrance with hydraulic tiles that recall what the original pieces were like and renovating the bathrooms according to the restoration project.
4. The delights of chef Felipe Rameh's cuisine served in the mansion's gardens For the first time in 23 editions, the
CASACOR Minas Bar will be open to the public during the exhibition's visiting period. The combination could not be better: the interior design will be by the respected and award-winning architect Ângela Roldão and the kitchen will be under the command of chef Felipe Rameh. The public will be able to sit at one of the restaurant's indoor tables or at the tables in the mansion's gardens, a perfect opportunity to admire the beautiful view of the city center.
5. Stroll through time through architecture Visiting
CASACOR Minas also means seeing or revisiting the architectural features present in the buildings, viaducts and urban elements along the route that takes us to the Floresta neighborhood and the mansion that will house the exhibition. Take advantage of the moment and pay attention to the details of each building, each lamppost, the balustrades, the viaduct arches, the old houses in the region that still stand the test of time, the landscaping of the squares and the urban landscape that lies before us.
6. Second edition of the 100% Minas exhibition The first edition was held in June last year and was an unprecedented event that brought together and showcased the talents of young and renowned designers from Minas Gerais in a single space. This year, the event will have a larger area, more time for visitors and an exhibition design by architect Carlos Teixeira. The curator is Mônica Boscarino and the public will be able to see the recent production and variety of furniture pieces created by designers and architects from Minas Gerais.
Yes, this edition will feature a gin bar! With a refined and urban concept, the
Ginger Bar will offer the distilled beverage produced in a copper still that will be installed inside the bar itself. Visitors to the exhibition will be able to see the equipment, understand the process of creating the beverage, try drinks and even take some home. Amazing, right? The person responsible for producing the beverage is André Sá Fortes from YVY Destilaria.
8. Spaces open to the public In addition to the bar and gardens, which will be open to the public for the first time, another new feature is that, on weekends, the Minas Gerais Model Railroad Association will open the doors of its headquarters for visitors to see the little over 120 m of tracks where miniature locomotives and wagons run. The railway line draws attention to the care with which it was built. There are bridges, tunnels and landscapes formed by hills, fields, churches, houses, stations, cars, trucks and even a mining company. Everything is in the internationally known scale as HO, which is 1:87, that is, everything, from the locomotives to the tunnels, is exactly 87 times smaller than the originals.
9. Sunset How about taking a break at the end of the day to marvel at the natural beauty of the sunset? We guarantee a brilliant view with vibrant shades of red, orange and blue. Enjoy the view through the large windows of the mansion, sitting in the café or in the gardens. A tip: go visit without rushing.
10. And of course, the talent and creativity of interior designers, architects and landscapers in the region.
