It is no coincidence that green also appears on the Renault Duster Oroch pickup truck, the official car of the event that will be at the 2016 editions of CASACOR in Brazil and that embraces the adventurous spirit of the owners imagined by the architects for the space: a couple who love the trails and routes of the Midwest and North of Brazil. “Jalapão is an environmental conservation and preservation unit, with waterfalls, springs, and dunes. It is a surprising but little explored region,” recalls Didacio. And, of course, the beauty of the region’s waterfalls and springs was not left out. Small waterfalls were reproduced by the professionals in the outdoor area of the environment. In addition to the wood cladding, the ceiling and floor also feature burnt cement strips, a technique that is still popular and adds a touch of Brazilianness to the space. Among the decorative pieces, Didacio and Flávia display furniture inspired by the 1950s and decorative objects created by architect and designer Mauricio Arruda exclusively for the Garages de Estar project using Renault car parts. “This space is a celebration of life, nature, gatherings, reading, Brazil and design,” emphasizes the architect.
