CASACOR Windows Challenge: Cucina Essenziale stands out for its minimalism

Nothing in Cucina Essenziale , by Gabriel de Lucca for the CASACOR Window Challenge , is dispensable. Every part and detail of the space is necessary for its functionality. The small amount of ornaments allows each piece to stand out, and the emptiness itself also becomes part of the serene atmosphere. The central island is sovereign: the clean and modern design structure occupies almost the entire length of the container, houses the appliances, the sink and functions as a preparation, decontamination and support space for quick meals. In the background, a freijó-style shelf helps organize dishes and utensils and also brings coziness to the kitchen. It is built into the wall, without interfering with the minimalist layout. In order not to take away from the prominence of the coverings and carpentry, the walls were given a dark tone. off white.

Responsibility and safety

During the design of the environment, which was built in just 4 days, the architect decided that most of the assembly should take place outside the construction site, in order to minimize risks and reduce contact between professionals. In this reverse logistics, a large part of the elements already arrived ready on site, optimizing labor and time.
