For 25 years, CASACOR Bahia has not been content with doing more of the same. The exhibition carries, in its vital flow, the gene of innovation: in this trajectory, it has been housed inside a warehouse, a train station and even at the Cais Porto. In this year, made its home in the Horto Florestal of Salvador. Inaugurated at the end of October, this edition reaches its final days with the manifestation of different styles, in projects that had carte blanche for creation. This time, he found a way to reinvent himself with the energy of the newest professionals in the market. His gaze was not cast too far from the masters of Bahian architecture – in fact, the inspiration came from them, from the genius of their forms, imprinted on each project. as an easily recognizable brand. They projected their own personality onto them, from which emerged the 33 environments of the exhibition . With a masterplan signed by architect David Bastos , there were many houses, different living rooms and a few lofts that made up the edition. Not limited to Horto, the projects extended to Salvador Shopping, where tribute was paid to Lina Bo Bardi and her time at the Bahia .
Furthermore, the edition showed itself more than ever committed to values of accessibility, inclusion and sustainability – essential for Planeta Casa , the theme of the exhibitions in 2019. Several actions were aimed at minimizing the environmental impact, such as the maximum use of resources and low carbon emissions. CASACOR Bahia will remain open until December 8, when preparations for the next edition will begin. In the gallery, we have selected some spaces that you can't miss. Get inspired!

House 245 - Laís Galvão. This uncomplicated loft was inspired by the simple and brilliant design of architects such as Oscar Niemeyer and Lina Bo Bardi. The spaces integrate the functions of the home, providing great practicality for daily activities. The large concrete and wood panel unites the living room and bedroom, providing a sense of visual continuity.

Casa Vert - Ana Paula Guimarães and Thiago Manarelli. In a soft way, in a mix of earthy and light tones, the duo brings a composition based on modular furniture. The single covering on the floor guarantees the perception of unity in the different environments. Handcrafted and original pieces, sometimes recycled, guarantee the best of contemporary design. The natural lighting, the glass windows and the linen curtains give the room a dramatic and captivating atmosphere.

Home Theater – Marlon Gama. The project is divided into three different spaces — TV space with sofa and armchairs; games space; and a bar atmosphere for total family interaction. Marlon studied the reverberation of the environment so that acoustic comfort was maximized. To this end, we used fabrics for the wall coverings, the use of leather on the sofa and armchairs, textured wood and a rug that covers the entire length of the room.

Amado Restaurant - David Bastos. Vibrant, exuberant, with different colors and textures. That's what this restaurant is all about. In an 80 m² space, inspired by the intensity of Mexican architecture, its colorful and characteristic features are reminiscent of names like Ricardo Legorreta and Luis Barragán. Meticulous architectural and decorative details make this restaurant the ideal place to enjoy good times with style and style.

Cravo e Canela Bungalow – Jéssica Araújo. The contrast between the rough, industrial materials and the burnt pink provides a unique experience for the project. The bedroom and bathroom maintain a strong connection with nature throughout the space. Artist Romilda Patez created the colorful figurative work with soil from the Pernambuco backlands. José Paulo’s leather installation reveals the architect’s preference for regional artists.

Collector's Loft – TRPC Arquitetos. A loft full of art and affection, based on the premise that everyone collects memories and experiences. With simple architectural gestures, everything was designed to combine privacy and integration of spaces. The careful curation presents crafts from different parts of the world and works of art by national and international artists, creating a harmonious and elegant composition.

Designer’s Room – Dinah Lins. Strength, resilience and determination: in her third consecutive year at the show, the designer highlights the feminine, modern and entrepreneurial soul in a tribute to fashion designer Irá Salles. The earthy and orange tones, leather, linen, wood, terracotta and straw materials reflect the characteristics of a modern and sophisticated fashion professional.
