Casa Cor Ceará 2014 presents much more than architectural and decoration projects. The big message lies in sustainable ideas and concern for urban mobility, which affects an increasing number of cities, including Fortaleza. These inspirations, also governed by the theme "A new look at Ceará", guide the 36 environments in the exhibition, designed by 51 professionals. The attention paid to construction waste, the origin of raw materials and water and energy savings is expressed in several ideas, which take over the 2,600 m² property, with 1,700 m² of built area and two floors. This year, the regional is reinvented and is present in a more indirect way, whether in the atmosphere of the spaces or in the color palettes that favor tones linked to local memory, such as beiges and browns. Among the trends, white dominates several spaces and, instead of spots of color, strokes of silver, bronze or gold. Upholstery and chairs appear in generous dimensions, even oversized, to bring much more comfort. Hydraulic tiles or tiles that imitate this aesthetic are present in the details of floors and walls. In fact, a tip is to look down and check out the varieties of coverings, such as marble, compositions with wood in two colors, cement and other materials that make the floor much more interesting. Another highlight is the Grocery store environment, where visitors find traditional Ceará items such as sweets, cajuinas, cookies and bread. And, for cyclists, something new: whoever rides a bike, takes a selfie and posts it on Instagram with the hashtag #casacorceara2014, pays half price by showing up at the ticket office.
