From kitchen to bathroom: different possibilities to inspire

CASACOR Mato Grosso 2026 shows that indirect lighting doesn't have to be restricted to specific projects. In Farmhouse O Coração Do Agro Por Mulheres, by Rafaela Campanatti, sconces illuminate the countertop with special charm. In Sala Jogo da Vida, by Thiago Sola and Flávia Sola, the technique appears in cove ceilings and panels, creating lighting complementary to the main light.

In Casa De Banho Nós, designed by UNIVAG students, the solution highlighted the niche above the countertop. Meanwhile, in the bedroom of Studio Vivart, by André Mann, a light source positioned behind the headboard contributes to a cozier atmosphere. The choice depends on the characteristics of each space and, above all, on the function the light should fulfill.

Multiple ways to create indirect lighting

Indirect lighting can be incorporated into the project in various ways, according to the desired atmosphere. Some solutions are built into construction elements or cabinetry, while others take on a more evident presence in the decor.

LED strips

LED strips are especially versatile because they can be incorporated into cornices, niches, shelves and custom furniture, as seen in the Sala De Leitura Além da Fronteira, designed by Ivã Guimarães. They create a continuous strip of light and enhance volumes and finishes. They can also be used under upper kitchen cabinets or behind panels and headboards.
